All Things Active

So in my search to find niches one fell in my lap thanks to a friend.  My best friend's wife won a contest for a gorde design and I was like "what is a gorde."  Turns out a good niche was one answer, in addition to a squash/pumpkin like vegtable that can be dried and hardened and is used to make things like:

So its been a while since my last post and I'm pretty excited about my latest sites: beijingolympicgamesstore.com, biodiesel-systems.com, and cheaper-textbooks.com. I hope they come off well, let me know what you think.

So my latest sites are about Wall Dots and Digital Slr cameras. Wall dots has already produced pretty well, but the camera site has just been launched so we'll see. I'm pretty skepical as I used a different program, Store Stacker to build it. We'll see how that works, it combines Ebay, clickbank, amazon, and youtube together so I can offer content and product. We'll see.

So I stumbled on a post in the BANS forum about submitting sitemaps to MSN. I had no idea you could so I've done so with a few of my sites to see if traffic from MSN will increase. I found that my cheap used cars website is ranked fairly well, and I migrated my toddler play toys site over from a subdomain to its very own domain at http://toddlerplaytoys.com

Well so far I am a few months into my venture into the affiliate web business and so far eBay is king. All of my commisions are through the Build a Niche Store software and I've made over $300 thus far. The pink and brown baby site is doing well and so is the blue and brown bedding site. Both are new so don't have any page rank yet, but I hope that will change. The bedding site is ranking #3 on google for the keyword, so I am very happy with that.

My first site, All Things Active just recieved a page rank of 2. I couldn't believe it. I'll continue to try to add valuable content and see where it goes. It is my first site and has contributed my most consistent traffic to date.

I also experimented with using subdomains to host new sites, I think the verdict is in: It doesn't work. Initially Google will treat the site as independent, but then it gets rolled under the parent domain and gets very little traffic. They haven't recieved any page rank because goolge feels they are just subsites under the main store, so I think I am moving towards buying a domain name for each new site.
